The Young Man on Recognizer is a nickname given to a minor character in TRON: Legacy.
This program was one of seven programs captured by sentries and was being transported in a recognizer when the craft descended to the street to pick up an eighth captive, Sam Flynn. Once on board, Sam inquired to this program as to whether he had ever heard of Kevin Flynn. The program would only reply, "Keep quiet if you want to live." Once the craft had reached its destination, several of the detainees were assigned to be "rectified", while this program, along with Sam and at least one other program, were sentenced to compete in the games.
He was reunited with Sam once more on the Light Cycle Grid in a team of five riders pitted against an opposing team of Clu and four of his sentries. Initially, the blue team suffered casualties at the hands of Clu's superior gold team, but the blue team were soon rallied by the user in their midst. The program first ambushed one sentry rider being distracted by Sam. Then he assisted Sam in hemming in another sentry on each side until the opposing rider lost control and derezzed along with his light cycle. Unfortunately for the blue program, this action caused the sentry's light cycle to clip the blue one, causing it to wobble out of control and separate from its rider. The blue program stood, amazed that he had survived the collision and was pleased to see Sam pausing to retrieve his lost baton. His triumph was short-lived however, because as he waited with his outstretched hand to receive the baton, he was derezzed when Clu's Light Cycle landed directly on top of him.
