Hello! Edit

First off let me apologize..sincerely. ;)

I am new to wikis in general and it said feel free to contribute, so I thought I would. I had no idea there was a chain of ettiquite involved in making changes, or I would've done so first.

If it is any consolation, it appears you and I are both right. The page should actually be split off into two pages.

The small one man fighters are exactly that, Light Fighters. Quorra shouts it out to Flynn on the Solar Sailer and if you google TRON Legacy, Light Fighter you will find a number of references to it.

The larger, 3 man fighters are called Light Jets, however. I wasn't aware of this fact, it was never mentioned in the course of the film and so I (incorrectly) assumed they were all designated the same.

However I am unclear about what you meant about rewriting a chunk of your work, because the only change I am aware of that I have made was changing the word Jet to Fighter. Again, I do apologize as I didn't mean to aggrivate or frustrate you! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Limbonik (talkcontribs)

Spam Edit

Man, what happened? I checked the recent wiki activity, and iss the spam on lots of spam? GO CASTOR! CRAY-DAIMON CRAY 20:53, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

An unregistered IP is vandalising pages all over the Tron wiki. -- WarBlade 20:54, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
I checked the IP. I know this dude, he spams lots of wikis I'm on. Ironically, His name's Flynn. I CAN"T BELIEVE HE"D SAY THOSE THINGS ABOUT CLU! GO CASTOR! CRAY-DAIMON CRAY 21:00, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

Hi Edit

I like to just say thanks for catching that link on the Clu 2 page, I feel really stupid that I missed it.AccountProgram 08:34, January 2, 2011 (UTC)

No harm, no foul. -- WarBlade 09:00, January 2, 2011 (UTC)

Characters Edit

Please delete/ revert spam on the page entitled characters. It's been jacked. Clu-2's epic! GO CASTOR! CRAY-DAIMON CRAY 23:06, January 2, 2011 (UTC)

Unfortunately I don't have Sysop level access on this wiki, so article deletion is not an option. You've done all any of us can do by adding the {{delete}} template. That will have to suffice. -- WarBlade 06:25, January 3, 2011 (UTC)

Past tense Edit

If you think that Quorra should be in past tense. every other character thats part of this wiki should be in past tense too.

Quorra is NOT dead and her location is KNOWN.

Present tense MUST be used on any location, creature and CHARACTER page, except if that character is confirmed dead or the location is lost. " AznPride112 08:54, January 3, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I feel strongly that every character-related plot description should be kept in the past tense. For one thing it saves a lot of hassle down the track when everyone decides something has become historical (and articles then get re-written to reflect that). For another, it helps to keep consistency across a wiki. -- WarBlade 11:31, January 3, 2011 (UTC)
Yes. But It clearly states that ANYONE that is dead or location is unknown is written in past tense. Quorra is alive and her location is known. Therefore her article should be written in present tense. AznPride112 11:41, January 3, 2011 (UTC)
Disagree. Descriptions of what Quorra is are "present". Details on what she has done are "past". -- WarBlade 11:55, January 3, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, But then in the 2010 section. You made that PAST tense when It's actually in present tense. The movie Tron : legacy is still set in 2010. Therefore it is still in present tense. When Tron 3 comes out THEN it becomes past tense. AznPride112 12:03, January 3, 2011 (UTC)
As far as I'm concerned it was past from the moment I saw it. That's the way time normally works. -- WarBlade 12:09, January 3, 2011 (UTC)
No It was in present tense. YOU EDITED it and made it ALL into PAST tense. AznPride112 12:14, January 3, 2011 (UTC)
And with that non sequitur, I think I'm done with this conversation. -- WarBlade 12:21, January 3, 2011 (UTC)

Beau Garrett Edit

Nice job copying ALL the info from wikipedia. At-least put them in your own words. That really isn't a fix otherwise. More like a plagiarise AznPride112 11:12, January 5, 2011 (UTC)

I have no idea what you're referring to. Perhaps you could figure out what you're trying to say before posting accusations on peoples' Talk pages. -- WarBlade 11:25, January 5, 2011 (UTC)

Great job! Edit

Hey, just wanna to pop in and say you're doing a great job. Keep it up! :D Sorry I'm not on the wiki and family life is hectic. - Mr. Sinistar 06:28, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for the Light Jet repair. That article move has been bugging quite a few of us. :D -- WarBlade

Weird name Edit

Hello. I do have an account, but the username was meant for another wiki and would be very odd on any other wiki. 21:33, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

As you've no doubt discovered, your login persists across a number of Wikia wikis. What was the name and the wiki your username was created for? -- WarBlade 04:38, January 10, 2011 (UTC)
My username is "Brightfur". I utilized it for the warriors wiki (it's a generated name from I use it on Wookieepedia because there's so many semi-protected pages. I use it on several wikis where there's a lot of semi-protected pages. 01:22, January 11, 2011 (UTC)

Apology Edit

Hey There, I know I've been getting on your nerves a bit and you've been getting on my nerves a-bit. So I just wanted to apologize for everything i've done or said :P. I hope we can be friends :) AznPride112 10:17, January 12, 2011 (UTC)

Also Is it possible if you could fix up the featured article pages ? Since you know how to do all this :(. Again. I'm sorry AznPride112 12:19, January 13, 2011 (UTC)
Maybe. It's not really high on my list of things to do though. Have you established whether or not people want featured articles? -- WarBlade 04:04, January 14, 2011 (UTC)
I think featured articles should be a thing though. Every wikia i've been to has them. I dunno. I would like featured articles but if you don't want them then i'm fine with that. AznPride112 05:52, January 14, 2011 (UTC).
It's not that I don't want to do things. I just have a few other goals that I'd like to see completed before I add more to the list of things to do. I think at this point you'll have an idea of one of my time consuming targets. Those location infoboxes were a bit of a blockage, and that task is not yet what I'd call complete.
Incidentally, what do you think of them? I'm considering overhauling the weapon and vehicle infoboxes in the same, or similar, style. -- WarBlade 11:14, January 16, 2011 (UTC)
I don't really know If you think it'll be better then go ahead and do it. But it's your decision. AznPride112 21:48, January 16, 2011 (UTC)

Real World Edit

The Real World is a location, so, if everyone's stuck in Cyberspace, that means that the "Real World" is a location for them to go to, hence it is capitalized. And yes I bloody know what Earth is and yes I speak bloody English, but think in terms of the Tron Universe next time alright? Willotaku :3 06:01, January 17, 2011 (UTC)

I am thinking in terms of the Tron Universe, however I am also conscious of conveying knowledge in English as well, per English wiki convention. I'm quite clear on "real world". I'm actually not sure why "cyberspace" is capitalised, and frankly it probably shouldn't be. Is "cyberspace" even used anywhere in the scope of the two movies? "Program" and "user" definitely should not be capitalised either. -- WarBlade 06:19, January 17, 2011 (UTC)
Dude, they are places, think of it this way, you don't use egypt, you use Egypt, you don't use real world, you use Real World. And Program and User are races/species got it? And So Am I in the conveying knowledge in English! Willotaku :3 06:39, January 18, 2011 (UTC)
"Egypt" is a proper noun, and therefore correct. It has no bearing on this topic though. "Real world" is not a place name as you suggest. Even the official movie website uses the words correctly. As for races and species, no they're not capitalised either. Examples: "I am a human," is correct. "I am a Human," is incorrect. I am trying to point to the path conforming with the internationally recognised standards here, so I have to ask, why are you taking such a confrontational position against that? -- WarBlade 07:08, January 18, 2011 (UTC)
Because I see things differently and I think that something's a certain way, and the way you speak is too formal and curt, and like someone's reading a dictionary. Not trying to be insulting, quite honestly I'm not. But the way you are saying this stuff sounds insulting to me. And everything's been working great so far, and it's called inflection and tone as far as "Human" vs "human" in my view.Willotaku :3 05:14, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
Simul-posted. Your talk page. Saw this reply after. -- WarBlade 05:24, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

badges sectionEdit

I just noticed something has gone wrong with the badges section. Just thought I'd inform you. AznPride112 11:36, January 20, 2011 (UTC)

Just popping in for a greeting, new here, just joined up recently. -Reisse Take a Risc - Infiltrate the System 05:37, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

B'Crat Edit

I recently created a wiki, and I was a B'Crat on it. Now, for some odd reason, I am not. You are the most experienced Active User I know of, so why did this happen? Clu-2's epic! GO CASTOR! CRAY-DAIMON CRAY 00:49, February 8, 2011 (UTC)

It is difficult to guess, but I suppose you might have been removed for some reason. I suggest going to http://(yourwikiname) and select the "User rights log" from the drop down menu to see if there was an intentional change, and if so perhaps the Wikia Staff member who made the change left a comment. That's about the best I can offer at this point. Good luck. :) -- WarBlade 04:10, February 8, 2011 (UTC)

range block Edit

That IP who spammed Quorra's page was downright explicit. I would recommend a range block, since he is an IP hopper. Clu-2's epic! GO CASTOR! CRAY-DAIMON CRAY 21:52, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

I once saw a forum where an administrator blocked an IP range and went a bit overboard with it. He inadvertently blocked all contributors with a particular ISP in the United States. The oversight was corrected before long, but it does give me reason to be cautious about blocking IP ranges. I'm more concerned about accidentally blocking legitimate users than I am about preventing one nuisance, especially considering how easy it is to revert. -- WarBlade 04:41, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for your edit changes to mine. Just wanted to say sorry if I've put in little too much useless info on some of the articles. :) I'm kindda new to all this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ARC Trooper Tal (talkcontribs)

No problem. Anything that doesn't suit an article can be reverted or updated as needed. If you're having trouble formatting a talk page post just leave a note to let me know you don't get it and then wait so I can sort it out for you. You will also find the Preview function is helpful to see how a post looks before it gets published. ;) -- WarBlade 16:35, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

Hi. ARC Trooper Tal here. I just wanted to let you know that I found out that Tron's character model (Circuitry, etc.) in Tron: Evolution is actually quite different as compared to how he looked in the movie Tron: Legacy. Should I create a trivia section on the Tron article to state this or should I just leave it blank? (i dun want to cause any trouble for u) —Preceding unsigned comment added by ARC Trooper Tal (talkcontribs)

Really? How is it different? -- WarBlade 18:59, March 1, 2011 (UTC)
ARC Trooper Tal: There's a vid: go to youtube and type: tron evolution the perfect system. in the results, there should be a vid that is 43 sec long from tron evolution. (or watch the tron evolution trailer) It shows tron's appearance in evolution while the pic here: shows tron's different appearance from legacy. the difference is mostly in his chest/abdomen area. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ARC Trooper Tal (talkcontribs)
Yeah, fair enough. Make a note. Also, you can sign your talk page posts with four tildes... ~~~~ And that way you'll generate a signature like this: WarBlade 12:08, March 2, 2011 (UTC)

Hello Warblade! This is UserCaleb and I just have one thing to say...

I'm not a Program!

Couple of Questions Edit

Hello Warblade I have a couple of questions for you that i was hoping you could answer.

Question #1, Is there a way to send just a message on here or do you just post it on a talk page like this?

Question #2, is there a way to add a person to a friends list kinda like Xbox live or do you just type in their name or something?

Question #3, I have a blog that i have recently made that I would like a lot of people to post on. My question is: is there a way I can put it somewhere or spread the word about it? I really want some people to post on it.

Thank you for your time WarBlade.

UserCaleb 21:33, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

Answer #1: We generally just use talk pages.
Answer #2: I'm not sure what value a friends list would have on a wiki. If you could explain what you are wanting to achieve I might be able to offer some suggestions.
Answer #3: I think you might be referring to this. If so, then just be patient. It will show up in a feed on the main page. -- WarBlade 04:49, March 7, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks Warblade. I really appreciate it.

kevin flynn's disc Edit

no, you're not doing this right they said "the master key" in the 2nd movie they said it .not "kevin flynn's identity disc" they didn't say the name of it. no mentions —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shadaloo2000 (talkcontribs)

Please sign your talk page messages. (Four tildes: ~~~~)

Let's be clear on something. That identity disc has no name. The best designation to use in the absence of a name is to simply define what it is (specific to the one item) and in this case it fits the same situation as "Rinzler's Light Discs" - It's an identity disc and it is distinguished by the character who owns it. The words "master key" are more of a description of it's function. Let me offer a few similar examples:

  • Chocolate - A delicious cocoa bean treat
  • The Internet - The most successful technology of all time
  • Rinzler's Light Discs - Dual-wielded identity discs
  • Summer - The warm season

Each one of these examples can use the second statement to describe them effectively in the course of a sentence. What they don't do so well is present a self-explanatory noun suitable for an article name. Therefore it is best to stick to something that is not debatable. There are many master keys in this world as well. What people can achieve with that article is to define a specific one. ;) -- WarBlade 20:43, March 8, 2011 (UTC)

Present tense Edit

I've found an article Sam Flynn and the character biography (in the TRON:Legacy section) is in PAST tense. Shouldn't it be in present tense ? That's how every other article is written. AznPride112 04:44, March 9, 2011 (UTC)

No, the manual style is as confusing here as it is for people on the Avatar Wiki. History write ups generally work best if they are kept in the past tense. Other content such as describing a character's place in the franchise works okay if it's in the present tense. I'm thinking of abandoning the past tense note for destroyed locations too, and just call it all historical from the perspective of someone who has viewed the movie, or read the comicbook etc. and are looking back on the story they've just absorbed. -- WarBlade 05:01, March 9, 2011 (UTC)
But wouldn't it be better to leave it in PRESENT tense, For the people who haven't seen the movie/read the comic. ? Why is Quorra's article written in present tense then ? and not Sams. AznPride112 06:45, March 10, 2011 (UTC)
No, it would be better to hunt down the lingering history paragraphs and update them to past tenses. As for Quorra, the Manual of Style is confusing on this issue, and the majority of contributors don't bother reading it anyway. -- WarBlade 10:44, March 10, 2011 (UTC)

Updates?????? Edit

Hello Warblade, this is UserCaleb, and I have noticed the pictures on the home page should be updated. They have been there for a while and are kind of getting old. I also believe we are a good wiki, but could be a better wiki if we had a featured article. Thank you for reading.

TRON: LEGACY Blu-Ray ScreencapsEdit

Hi WarBlade,

My friend Janine who I work very close with on homeofthenutty "Smallville" and Smallville wiki, has gotten an advance copy of Tron: Legacy on Blu-Ray and has uploaded 3496 screencaps. I've added some already on here but I figured you'd know better at deciding where you want the images to go . So here's the link

Enjoy --Kal-EL 23:53, March 26, 2011 (UTC)

I have no doubt that there will be a wealth of awesome shots, although I'd like to proceed with some level of caution. One thing I don't want to do is have to clean up a huge number of articles with images jammed into places they don't really fit. I'm never 100% sure about wikis and copyrights either. So basically, I welcome new images, especially those that are needed, but prefer to handle the integration of them carefully. -- WarBlade 00:20, March 27, 2011 (UTC)
I understand, then add the ones you need. And I'll refrain from posting pic from the film and let you handle it.--Kal-EL 00:32, March 27, 2011 (UTC)
There is one screen cap I'd be interested to see. I don't know if it appears on the Blu-ray though. There is a map image of the Grid, in a fuzzy little version that I've been hoping might get updated and added to some home edition extra features eventually. I'd love to get a good copy onto this wiki, although it's a bit of a shot in the dark. :D -- WarBlade 04:58, March 27, 2011 (UTC)

Tron City Edit

hello, my name is Justin. Did you know that Tron City has a other name? it´s called Tokia. in the movie when quorra, kevin and sam eat together, kevin flynn called it tokia. what do you say about that? And one other thing:I have seen that their awards have in the wiki. I have that in my german tron Wiki, too. if you want i can give you some pictures from my awards give .

I am from Germany, that means I can not speak English so well. I hope you understand me still useable. greeting, -Shikamaru- 09:27, March 28, 2011 (UTC)

I think the word you are thinking of is "utopia". Flynn used it to describe his creation rather than name it. ;) -- WarBlade 09:37, March 28, 2011 (UTC)
oh, thank you then I have in my wiki made the same mistake that sounds pretty but also them tread: tokia topia, or not? :). greeting, -Shikamaru- 10:12, March 28, 2011 (UTC)

Background Edit

hi, again, I have a question: how did you hammer out your background so cool. I asked in the support wiki and in response I got, that's a transparent png file. but what you have hammer out because this ingenious picture. I would also create something for my wiki. thanks, -Shikamaru- 19:15, March 28, 2011 (UTC)

Try messaging JoePlay. He makes backgrounds all over Wikia and could be a great help for what you are looking for. -- WarBlade 19:23, March 28, 2011 (UTC)

Hi - thanks for the welcome message. =D —Preceding unsigned comment added by PanamaRedGonzo (talkcontribs)

Background again Edit

hi again, so I wanted to ask you for permission. You know certainly that I have a German tron wiki, right? and I have now spent hours trying to get such a good background as you. I've now been in demand everywhere. and now I have made extra new one yet, but that does not work. a member of my wikis proposed to ask you for permission to your users background to be allowed, and in contrast, we would introduce you to our home page as a partner. if you do not want it is not so bad. what do you say? greeting, Justin 16:41, March 30, 2011 (UTC)

I'm not sure how to answer you on that request. Mr. Sinistar might be a more appropriate person to ask, and I think it was Abbott who locked the background image in place. Wikis are a community effort though, and the question should really be put to everyone here. -- WarBlade 05:00, March 31, 2011 (UTC)
