So where exactly was TRON during TRON 2? Doug Exeter 09:54, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

I wish I knew. In the scene where Ma3a and Jet are about to compile the Tron Legacy Code, the compiler asks, "Okay, so where's Tron?", to which Jet replies, "Uh, Tron is retired." So, that could mean anything. However, Tron was in Tron Killer App for the Gameboy Advance and that was a brand new storyline about Tron meeting Mercury and stuff. So I guess that's what happened to Tron during Tron 2.0 - Mr. Sinistar 20:01, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

At the End of Legacy, Tron Reboots, so that means....

That he didn't 'die', right? Otherwise he would have derezzed?

Yeah I'm pretty sure that was the case so if there's a new sequel, I'm hoping he's in it!

I think it was cool how he has this power to illuminate hidden footprints (even though it was the Rinzler persona that demonstrated this).

Tron's ultimate fate

We last see Tron sinking in the Sea of Simulation. I'm really curious about whether or not he'll derezz because in Tron: Betrayal the comic book, Clu poisoned the Sea of Simulation, which killed many ISOs and slowed their birth rate. Does the poison have the same effects on programs? Does that mean Tron will derezz? ARC Trooper Tal 03:52, July 2, 2011 (UTC)

In TRON: Legacy, the ISO's came walking overland rather than surface from the Sea of Simulation. The movie therefore doesn't need to acknowledge any of the events in the comic book. Additionally, a long time has passed since the betrayal, so even if the sea was poisoned in the movie canon, I imagine it would have dissipated without a daily infusion to keep the toxicity up for all those years. -- WarBlade 05:07, July 2, 2011 (UTC)
