Light Jet to Light Fighter Page MoveEdit

Someone has taken it upon themselves to redesignate this article. I can't find any references to the word "Light Fighter" on the Internet from official sources, and up until this point every official release relating to these vehicles has been "Light Jet". Revert? -- WarBlade 20:47, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

I have since double-checked the movie itself. Quorra says, "Light Jets! Here they come." Can a sysop remove the redirects and return this page to it's appropriate title please? It should be under "Light Jet". -- WarBlade 09:42, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
Is anyone gonna fix this or leave it this way?AccountProgram 12:20, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
In recent activity, Warblade moved it to Light Jet, why it was reverted? Val (I/O TOWER) 17:39, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
It was under the correct title, "Light Jet", then moved to "Light FIghter" and finally "Light Fighter". The double move makes it messy to fix. I've tagged Light FIghter for delete, and feel that the cleanest fix would be to delete the Light Jet redirect to make way for the page move back, but if this drags out much longer we might as well forget the revision history and just copy/paste. :( -- WarBlade 20:05, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
The two ribbon version is a light fighter (that is what the announcement thing says when it is taking off) and the one ribbon version is a light jet.OMEGATRON 09:29, January 3, 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, that could work. The trouble is the designer himself has identified both as a "Light Jet", and the toy packaging has "Light Jet™" for the three-seater as well. If the two are split along those lines, then there should probably be disambiguation links inserted up top as well. -- WarBlade 12:03, January 3, 2011 (UTC)
Both versions are Light Jets, the problem is the sub-class. The term 'Jet' applies to any aircraft utilizing jet propulsion. The smaller light jet is more of an interceptor like the F15 Eagle and the larger light jet i would mark it as more of a gunship similair to a AC-130G Shadow. In the end i would called them a 'Light Jet Intercepter' and a 'Light Jet Gunship'. What do you think? -- AccountProgram 05:46, January 28, 2011 (UTC)
I don't think that would be a good plan. Generally speaking, the best policy is to stick to canon terminology seeing as that is what people will search for. At the moment it's in limbo with a status quo based on toy packaging and designer commentaries that all point to "Light Jet". If Disney start signing off on published material with a distinctly different title, then we'll have a solid direction to branch in, but for the moment plain old Light Jet still looks like the best option to me, even though there are two subtypes. That being said, I wish some people with TRON: Legacy art books, novels, or whatever, would provide a report on the contents of the printed media. I'm also hoping for specifics on The Rectifier, APCs and the Grid car other than the Grid Limo. -- WarBlade 06:18, January 28, 2011 (UTC)
Well, when the larger one is taking off the announcer voice says something like "Light fighter launching" and Quorra says "Light Jets! Here they come." when referring to the smaller one so why not split them like that with see also links at the top of each page.OMEGATRON 18:54, February 13, 2011 (UTC)
The announcement states, "Light Fighter #5" indicating an internal designation within Clu's forces. That alone is a flimsy designation to go on when every other source out there is labelling it as a "Light Fighter" IMO. -- WarBlade 19:04, February 13, 2011 (UTC)

Formatting Issues Edit

Erm, you do realize that the text scrolls right over the second info box when the two codes are squashed togther prior to finalizing the article, right? Lily Ford 16:08, March 28, 2011 (UTC)

I didn't, but have launched some of my backup browsers to investigate. It looks fine with Firefox and even Microshaft Internet Exploder, but Google Chrome and Apple Safari handle handle the formatting as you describe. Thanks for the heads up. How does it look to you now? -- WarBlade 19:36, March 28, 2011 (UTC)

Tron: Uprising variantion Edit

Thought I should discuss this before making a rash decision. Does anybody think we should add a section to the article about the Tron: Uprising variation of the Light Jet? It seems very likely that we should add information on it, since we have a lot of pictures but no info. —Preceding unsigned comment added by QuilSniv (talkcontribs)
