3rd, 4th Generation Lightcycles[]

hi people i just had a question, probably one nobody can answer, but here it is:

there is no page for the 3rd/4th generation lightcycles and i thought that the lightcycle from tron evolution would fit in the 3rd/4th gen cycle position, probably 4th because it is from evolution which is the prequil to the movie which has the 5th gen cycle, would it be a 3rd/4th gen cycle? it doesnt have the same design as the 2nd/5th cycles.

but considerably they seem to have the same design of lightcycles in Evolution and Legacy and 3rd and 4th could go to Evolution or Tron 2.0

but they are different, the legacy lightcycles have the same size wheel, whereas the evolution lightcycles have a resembelance of the 2nd gen lightcycle but has no canopy

Article Branch Suggestion[]

I propose that this article be branched to form two articles with the following content:

  1. Lightcycle - A global article covering all of the lightcycles. Effectively a disambiguation page.
  2. Lightcycle (1st Generation) - Content pertaining to the first generation lightcycles to be moved to a new article name.

Basically, the collision of the two ideas in the one article is starting to cause confusion and editing issues after the release of Tron: Legacy. -- WarBlade 21:50, December 28, 2010 (UTC)

Gen2 LC[]

Hi guys ..

I have installed the GEN-2 Light Cycle and when i press "V" it appears the GEN-5 Light Cycle.

What can i do to ride the GEN-2 Light Cycle?

Light Cycle or Lightcycle[]

Does anyone here think that Lightcycle should be changed to Light Cycle? It seems abit odd that almost every location including in subtitles for the films, Lightcycle, is referred to as two words and not one large one. --RadicalEdward2 04:59, January 25, 2011 (UTC)

Origin[]

Hey, this is probably a long shot, but I'd hope to get some honest research.

It seems like the idea of the "Light Cycle" already appeared in 2002 in the minds of DigiPen students

Just wondering if theres some legal issues.

These DigiPen students probably liked the idea of TRON's Light Cycles enough to imitate them. Who knows? What sort of research are you after? -- WarBlade 00:08, April 27, 2011 (UTC)
