Shaddox was one of the first programs written by Kevin Flynn when he established the Tron system. Shaddox is a System Utility designed to assist Clu constructing and maintaining Tron City while Flynn was in the real world. After the emergence of the ISOs, Shaddox resigned as system architect. He remained good friends with Tron.

Shaddox is only mentioned in TRON: Betrayal, which is a viable part of Tron canon as indicated by Disney on multiple occasions, and thus can be considered a canon character.
