Lightcycle rods

From left to right, Ram, Tron and Flynn look down at their lightcycle rods as they rez in.

A Rod is an object found in the computer world that was originally intended to be used for controlling lightcycles. Mercury taught Jet Bradley that by breaking a lightcycle rod in two pieces it can become a good close-range weapon that can short-circuits enemy programs.

PRod (Rod Primitive)

Weapons rod01-1-

A PRod.

A PRod is a rod that is broken in two and used very much like a real world cattle prod. By stabbing or poking an enemy program with the PRod, it short-circuits the program, draining their energy and making them spastic. The program being shocked also starts saying gibberish or error messages ("S...sending..error...message!") until they derez.

It is best used as a way to attack multiple closely-grouped enemies at once. Enemies take damage for as long as the player keeps the attack engaged.

Suffusion Rod

Weapons rod02-1-

The Suffusion Rod, a weapon very similar to a shotgun.

The Suffusion Rod is a relatively short-range weapon that fires a shotgun blast of energy pellets. When optimized, the number of pellets fired increases and the spread of the blast narrows, making it more effective against longer-range targets.

LOL Rifle

Weapons rod03-1-

The LOL Rifle, the computer counterpart to a sniper.

The LOL Rifle (aka the Laughing-out-loud rifle) is basically the computer counterpart to the real world sniper.
