Purgos was the original settlement of Argon City in TRON: Uprising. A boom town before the ISO War, it eventually descended into notoriety and became home to numerous criminals on the Grid.[1] General Tesler referred to it as a "stinkhole".[2]
History[]
Identity[]
Tron and Beck visited Purgos in an attempt to recover Beck's stolen identity disc, eventually discovering it in the hands of a local crook who operated a pawnshop there. Their search took them from lowly streets to nightclubs and spacious apartments, demonstrating that Purgos is home to varying degrees of social strata, although criminal elements were evident even among the privileged residents of the area. Beck was taken to the city's center, a beacon, in an attempt to hand Beck over to General Tesler, Tron eventually prevented this from happening as he fought Beck's captor, Kobol, and Lux distracted the newly arrived Guards from getting to Beck and tron, dying in the process
The Reward[]
Pavel had gone to Gorn, a program able to change aspects of one's Identity Disc, in an attempt to frame Hopper as the renegade in Purgos.
The Stranger[]
Dyson used Purgos as the location for a secret project, recruiting programs to work on parts of it without discussing it amongst themselves so that no one would know what it was. When Able infiltrated the project, it was eventually revealed that the workers had been unwittingly building a recognizer of unusually vast proportions.
Rendezvous[]
A nervous program came to Gorn's shop attempting to bargain with her to have one of his memories erased. This program was "enlightened" by Gorn's assistant Lomox until Pavel came and dismissed this Program, immediately thereafter, Pavel made Gorn help create a false memory of his workmate, Paige, due to her interference. When Paige was framed, she went to Gorn's shop, via her Light Cycle, and furiously confronted Gorn. Sesler and Pavel emerged from the shadows and checked her disc to find a memory of Paige insulting Tesler, provoking him to send her to the games. After Paige was proven innocent, Pavel, familiar with Purgos due to clandestine visits there, was eventually given control of its district by Tesler, along with the unpleasant task of cleaning up the town.
Points of interest[]
Kobol's shop[]
The shop of Kobol's, this store contained many vibrant objects and its backgrounds were green. Tron and Beck went here in hopes of finding Beck's disc
Kobol's street[]
This street was the personal territory of Kobol and his thugs. Tron and Beck stumbled upon this street after meeting Kobool, though they were ambushed by Kobol and his thugs, provoking a battle until Lux intervened and saved Beck and Tron.
Unnamed rooftop[]
A rooftop nearby Kobol's street, Lux took Tron and Beck here after saving them from Kobol's thugs. The three conversed as Lux introduced herself before they left to search parts of Purgos for info on Beck's disc'
Lux's home[]
The home of Lux, like most buildings in Purgos, this one is vibrant as well. Lux had taken Beck and Tron here after Beck received his second glitch. While here, Lux tended to Beck while Tron searched Galt's disc in hopees of finding any information on Beck's Identity Disc. After Beck received another glitch, Lux electrocuted Tron with a Stun Pike as Kobol entered. The four went to what is presumed the rooftop of the home, as Kobol prepared to hand Beck over to Tesler, Tron argued with Lux and Kobol until Kobol left, after he had left, Lux freed Tron.
Gorn's shop[]
The location in which Gorn operated in, Pavel occasionally went to get Gorn to to tamper with one's Identity Disc
