The Light Cycle Staging Pit is the waiting area for programs who will be competing in light cycle matches on the Game Grid. Tron, Flynn, and Ram met here. Sark was in control of this area prior to 1982, before Tron destroyed the MCP.
TRON 2.0[]
In TRON 2.0, the Kernel was in charge of the Light Cycle Arena and Staging Pit. Once he had Kernelsupport.api detain Jet, Jet was put on trial. He was deemed incompatible and was nearly scheduled for deresolution, until Mercury suggested putting him on the grid. It was there that Jet received his Super Light Cycle. In TRON 2.0, this was part of the Vaporware level.
