The 3rd generation Light Cycle is the most commonly featured light cycle in the PSP port of TRON: Evolution, the 3rd generation Light Cycle was also the last Light Cycle design to have a canopy. The 3rd Generation Light Cycle also appears in, TRON RUN/r, and in concept art for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows version of TRON: Evolution.

History[]

TRON: Evolution (PSP)[]

The 3rd Generation Light Cycle was designed and made by Kevin Flynn for the newly opening Light Cycle games in a game tournament in 1985. Tron used the 3rd generation light Cycle and competed in a race with various other programs also riding this version of the Light Cycle, one of these programs being Beta, who lost to Tron during the race. This version of the Light Cycle was also used by Game Arena combatants in the Light Cycle games for the game tournament, including Beta, who surpassed his openents on the game arena with the Light Cycle.

Physical appearance[]

The 3rd generation Light Cycle looks similar to a 2nd generation light cycle, but with a more streamlined design similar to that of the 4th generation and 5th generation light cycles. Like its predecessors, the 3rd generation Light Cycle has a canopy, though its the last model of a Light Cycle to have one.
