Various songs by Journey have been used in both TRON films. In TRON, the song "Only Solutions" can be heard in the background at Flynn's Arcade while Kevin Flynn beats his previous high-score on Space Paranoids, and again during the credits. "1990's Theme", another song featured in the original film, plays in the opening sequence where the game Light Cycles is shown being played both from the point of view of the person playing the arcade game in the real world and the programs playing it inside the computer world.

In the scene in TRON: Legacy where Sam Flynn turns on the power to his father's abandoned arcade, the song "Separate Ways" begins to play. The same song can be heard briefly in the non-canon music video for "Derezzed", where Daft Punk enters the arcade in a similar manner.
