Thoughts on today's news, everyone?

Vancity Buzz: TRON 3 to be filmed in Vancouver this fall

"Walt Disney Pictures has green lighted the third film in the Tron series, sources tell Vancity Buzz entertainment contributor Lindsay Barker. Filming is scheduled to begin on October 5, 2015. ... At this time, only Garrett Hedlund has been confirmed to return to the cast."

This article, the source of all the speculation, is fairly brief, mentioning Legacy's budget and some Vancouver filming locations used in it. The site is considered a fairly reliable source.

Screenrant: 'TRON 3' begins production this fall

"While this is the first update in a while about an actual, legitimate start date for TRON 3, Kosinski has – over the years – continually teased details and potential release dates. He even has a title already. He claims TRON 3 is the “Empire Strikes Back” of the series, so expect a darker, less happy ending, to setup another followup one day."

This article goes full-out into speculation, pulling in other things we all know or guess about TRON 3.

A week or two ago, it was reported (disappointingly) that Cindy Morgan had been taken off the movie's IMDB page as a rumored cast member. Wilde, whom I believe had been there before, is off as well. Only Hedlund and Boxleitner are still there. While most of the programs introduced in Legacy were killed off, it would be strange to ditch all the User characters but one, particularly with the intriguing ENCOM/Flynn Lives situation at the end of The Next Day.

(And if Tron -- the character, whether still Rinzlerfied or an ENCOM backup or what -- doesn't have a major role in this one, I, personally, intend to flip a large number of desks.)

On the other hand, NEW LIGHTCYCLES, ANYBODY??????
