Essential Guide to TRON is an application released by Apple for the iPad. It was released by Disney Interactive Media Group on 10 January 2011, free to download. It also comes with a Tron universe timeline, giving bits of information such as "1983 The first program Kevin Flynn creates is a simple resource distribution platform called Shaddox". The app comes with the following description:
