The Coliseum was a massive, circular arena utilized to hold games, such as Disc Wars, in Argon City. It was constructed by General Tessler shortly after his takeover of the area.

History

After the renegade program, Beck, destroyed a statue of Clu himself, General Tessler decided to bring the games to Argon City. In order to capture the renegade, Tessler gathered "volunteers" to compete in the Coliseum. The general commissioned dozens of Light Rail cars to transport the competitors to the Coliseum, but one car with Mara and Zed among the volunteers was sabotaged by Beck in order to free the programs.

Coliseum

Later, Beck was arrested by Tessler's forces for breaking the set curfew for all residents of Argon and sent to the Coliseum to compete in the games. There, he met a program named Cutler who agreed that, in time, programs will rise up against Clu. The two survived all the tournaments, but, at Pavel's suggestion, General Tessler had them duel against each other for freedom. Cutler forfeited so that Beck would be freed and allowed to live, while he was scheduled for deresolution. Beck, in the guise of Tron, sabotaged the recognizer transporting Cutler to execution, and eventually reached a Speed Boat to get them out of the city. Tessler gave chase in a massive speed boat of his own, but Beck and Cutler were saved and able to reach safety thanks to Tron, utilizing his own unique boat that could submerge deep below the surface.
