A Cesta is a weapon used by programs almost exclusively in a ring game. Its function is very similar to the jai alai cesta: to throw a ball at high speed against a wall, causing it to rebound at the other player. In a ring game, a player uses the digital cesta to catch an energy ball and rebound it from the ceiling. If the other player fails to catch the ball, its strike derezzes one or two ring segments in the player's platform, causing a dangerous gap which remains for the rest of the game.
