The Carrier Ships of Clu's war machine were two vastly upgraded versions of the carrier ship that had previously existed within ENOM's mainframe in 1982.

While the original carrier had merely served as a mobile headquarters from which Sark enforced the reign of the MCP, Clu plotted a large-scale invasion and of the real world involving his carrier, "The Rectifier". Its purpose was to serve as a mobile fortress used to transport his entire military force into the portal to the real world.

The "Rectifier" was topped with a docking tower on which Clu's Command Ship could land and attach to. With Kevin Flynn's Identity Disc interfaced to the command ship, and that ship then docked to the carrier, it would enable the entire carrier to enter the portal and cross over between the two worlds.

Before the events in TRON: Legacy, Clu had previously deployed an earlier carrier named "The Regulator" in TRON: Evolution. The Regulator also served as a warship for Clu's onslaught of the ISOs. It first appeared along with many Recognizers, and damaged, but not destroyed, the End of Line Club. The Regulator also traveled to Arjia City, where it was destroyed because of a brief battle between Anon and Abraxas.
