Byte is a character in the video game TRON 2.0. His main functions are helping Jet with information about the digital world and opening "Byte Sockets" to help Jet get through force fields. Byte is designed after Bits that appear in the movie and also in the game. In one scene, Jet asks Byte, "So what are you, a Bit?" and Byte indignantly replies that they wouldn't send a Bit to do a Byte's job. Byte can talk in sentences (unlike the bits' "yes" and "no").
