Ok, as you know, there has been no official cancellation of Tron: Uprising, and neither has there been any word on a new series.

Nate Corddry (who voiced Zed) told me on Twitter it was "not looking good" for a second series, while Bruce Boxleitner (Tron) said "I'm sure I would have heard if it was going further."

So, alas, it appears unlikely to continue - although until we get an official cancellation, I live in hope!

XD1 from the Wikia staff is tinkering with the Tron Wiki background. The proposed new look can be found on his user page. It features a Jeff Bridges close-up on the left, and Sam with Quorra on the right, plus a more 'glowy' atmosphere consistent with the imagery at the end of TRON: Legacy with the portal lighting up the scene.

So I'm really only got into the Tron Legacy and Uprising because I haven't watched the original yet. I know that there are some toys for Tron (both the ones at retail, and the expensive kinds from Hot Toys or something).  Anything I need to know about this wiki that is different from any other wiki? I was just getting a bit curious as to why Tron Uprising doesn't have its own listing in the categories alongside Tron, Tron 2.0, and Tron: Legacy. It seems like it would be due for one, as during the course of the series it has expanded upon the Tron universe greatly, having introduced dozens of new characters, vehicles, technology, and locations within the grid. Also, since the show is more or less canonical, fitting within the context of the films, it almost seems more likely a choice than Tron 2.0. Thoughts, anyone?

Update on the show's current status:

So far, despite the rumors, the show has not actually been canceled. According to producer Edward Kitsis, however, it is in danger of not being renewed due to lower viewership than Disney expected (after random and unpredictable scheduling changes, an unannounced summer hiatus, switching the timeslot to midnight, and neglecting to distribute or market the show to the worldwide, computer-savvy audience that would've happily sat through all the Hulu commercials ever to be able to stream on their own schedules and count as viewers [what, bitter? me?]). So far my collection has all 3 Deluxe Identity Discs, all the Deluxe Vehicles, Most of the Core Figures, Kevin Flynn's Light Cycle, the Deluxe Black Guard, and a vintage Warrior 3.75" Figure.

The sequel to Tron: Legacy looks to be back on track. Disney has been developing a follow-up to the 2010 Tron sequel for a couple of years now, though movement had slowed considerably as of late. Apparently new Disney Studios head Alan Horn sees the sequel as a priority, with Heat Vision reporting that Jesse Wigutow being tapped to pen the latest draft of the script as development on the project moves forward “with a renewed urgency.” Legacy director Joseph Kosinski is set to helm this next installment, though a timetable for production isn’t given. One question popped up in my head recently. In Tron Legacy, Flynn is portrayed as creating Clu2 by opening a screen and then touching it, thereby creating a copy of himself. My question is, if it was that simple, then why didn't Flynn just create an army of duplicates of himself (or Quorra) to help aid them in their struggles? At the very least, they would have made useful decoys.

Hey guys! Just wondering: how did u feel about the newest Uprising episode "Identity"? It certainly explained more about what would happen to programs losing their identity discs and maybe a little insight on why Clu started taking stray programs for repurpose.

Hi, this is Jeyo. In the past few weeks, our administrator, WarBlade, has been locking gallery pages to prevent editing. He does this when people upload and add picture after picture long after they are needed. I personally find it very annoying when there is a small spelling error that would normally be easily fixed on a locked gallery page. I am also guilty of uploading way more pictures than is necessary at times, but I have stopped doing it quite as much. I would urge others (especially DaftPunkGuy) to not upload excess images so WarBlade does not lock as many pages. We all know that Recognizers, Light Cycles, and other vehicles in TRON: Uprising look different than those in Evolution and Legacy. But, is it truly necessary to create their own pages? Disney most likely designed the vehicles' appearance differently, but not a different model/variant of these vehicles. My big concern is the Recognizer. Pages for those in the original TRON and those in Legacy and Evolution are understandable, but my opinion is that the Recognizer in Uprising is the same model as that in the 2010 movie and game, except for a slightly different appearance.

My opinion is that, in the future, of course, the pages of Uprising vehicles should be combined with those of the vehicles in Legacy.

In TRON: Uprising, Tron disappared after Clu's betrayal and took up the identity of the mysterious Rinzler to resist capture from Clu's forces. Unlike in TRON: Legacy, the name Rinzler was given to Tron after Clu repurposed him following the coup d'etat against Kevin Flynn.

Was Tron somehow discovered and repurposed by Clu after the events of Uprising, and ironically given the same name he used in hiding?

As many of you probably realise, the Tron Wiki's founder and original bureaucrat, Mr. Sinistar, has been absent for the past year. This creates a minor problem for the Tron Wiki, because administrative functions that should be available to at least one admin have been left beyond our grasp (or called in from Wikia Central should a major issue ever arise). My sysop level access is sufficient to handle the general day to day administration needs, but sometimes the hand of a bureaucrat is needed for more esoteric functions.

So this is a blog post to gauge opinion.

I recently saw a commercial promoting TRON: Uprising on Disney XD's YouTube channel. I have to say I thought the commercial was a little annoying and cheesy. It shows two kids at a diner talking about the awesome vehicles in TRON: Uprising. They show an image of a (Light Copter) and the kid calls it a Light Chopper!!!! It was confirmed on Disney XD's website that the helicopter is called a (Light Copter). They also show a picture of the (Rough Terrain Light Cycle) which they call a LIGHT CRAWLER!!!!! We don't know the exact name for the (Rough Terrain Light Cycle) yet, but we do know that the ATV that Beck finds is called a (Light Crawler). In the first episode of TRON: Uprising called Beck's Beginning we already get many views of new vehicles in the TRON universe. Most of the unamed new vehicles are seen in Able's garage. There are also some crashed/abandoned vehicles we see in a junkyard in the Outlands. I wrote this article to show people on this wiki the vehicles to look for in the show.
